PequenaPequena, which translated from the Spanish language means 'Little One' is a little restaurant serving simple and wholesome Mexican food. The restaurant is owned by the same group that owns Olea, Maggie Browns and Moe's Bar, all extremely welcoming places which are well kept and very well organised. Even though Pequena has been around for 7 years, you would not think so merely by feeling its upbeat vibe and its warm and affable service. Low key and cool, identifying with the nouveau Brooklyn crowd which represents theatre personalities, writers, artists and musicians galore. Young people, who are mostly under the age of 32 and are quite terribly interested in making their own beer, buying locally, becoming members of a community garden, keeping compost in their back yards- all of this and more dangling on a fixed shoestring budget.

The menu comprises of all your staple Mexican dishes like tacos, quesadillas, tortas, guacamole etc, along with a killer 2 for 1 Margaritas for lunch and brunch time during the weekends. A lovely place which is also very affordable but makes you want to run home and recycle every piece of paper or plastic that you have hidden away in a milk crate under your kitchen table!
