After 14 years of service, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill staple Tillie’s of Brooklyn closed shop for good on January 1, 2012. As reported last month by The Brooklyn Paper, co-owners Patricia Mulcahy and Amos Yogev decided to close their much-loved coffee shop because they could not afford a rent increase.
Tillie’s is hosting a goodbye party today, January 6 at 8 p.m. All friends and customers are welcomed, as well as anyone who wants to buy a small part of Tillie’s.
Tillie’s, 248 DeKalb Avenue at Vanderbilt Avenue, (718) 783-6140
